Just a few words of attempted wisdom… valentine’s day is just sad b/c if it’s the only dam day ppl can celebrate and express their love , thats just pathetic. What’s even more sad, is that some girls/guys take these gifts to mean that the other person actually cares about them/loves them. In reality, they’re just pissed at the media for forcing them to hectically search for last-minute gifts and reservations just like every other person in north america. hense, i dont celebrate it. and no..its not because im bitter or sm or cuz i dont hav a valentine (why is that even a noun?), but its just the truth… everybody does things for eachother on THAT DAY…that just makes it that much more..unspecial. but watevs, thats just my thought, if u disagree, be my guest, retaliate. although..not even worth speaking about.

Well I totally agree that it’s pointless, but lets look at this from the imperialistic capitalistic point of view that I am hopefully going to elaborate on in a separate post on capitalism:
Valentines is very conveniently placed between Christmas and easter and lets face it, in this period stores need something to advertise on and make decors for right, so they invented valentines, just like how Halloween was invented between the back to school shopping and Christmas shopping, it all comes down to money, materialism and the big ideology of our society: CAPITALISM

another LOGICAL person that sees through this laughably pathetic day
its a sad excuse to make pink red and white OVERPRICED candy and raise the cost of flowers because most people are just that retarded
glad to share my bitter piece of mind =D

I personally find this very offensive. Valentine’s day is the one day of the year when I become fertile and am able to mate with others of my kind to produce offspring, and buying expensive gifts and flowers is an essential part of my mating ritual.
